Dear Federal Government,

June 27, 2013

We accept the fact that we have had to wait 237 fucking years for something that sort of resembles equality. But we think you’re crazy to make us write and essay or, you know, justify in any way, our simple desire for equality. You see us how you want to see us: in the simplest terms and the most convenient definitions. But what we found out is that each one of us is a citizen, deserving of equality and that no matter how hard you try, equality is an inevitability.

Does that answer your questions?

Sincerely Yours,

Rainbow Breakfast Club1

P.S. To the rest of Team Equality; the VRA has been gutted, guns are still not nearly under rational control, Texas is trying to turn women into second class citizens…you know more than they already have done, and things are generally still not the way they should be.

Today was a good day. Celebrate tonight…and possibly through the weekend. I will be strutting my pride in the Twin Cities, my own self. But on Monday? Suit up and come with your game face. We’ve still got a long way to go.
